i swear i was taught that 'separate' was correct spelling

glamour? glamor? Amateur? Amature? Hospital? Hospitol. Disgusting discusting. I usually see people misuse affect for effect and vice/versa -- not sure if that's a spelling error more than a usage error.

Pretty much any word my spell checker knows is a word, but in reality it's not the right word for what I'm typing... See GrouchyAdmin's signature for some of them.

My biggest pet peeve as a writer is the people who consistently get this word wrong. I see definitely spelt defently or of some other arrangement. I don't think people I've spoken to have ever had that one right (in all the IM conversations I've had).
