you're right - what's the point of going to a test when you work the next day but get the result one day after your work. this means: she worked on the 5th and the producer did not care for an actual test - congrats.

It never mentioned anyone else that she might have worked with in May while her last negative test was valid. That means that she might have gotten infected sometime in and around the 29th. Or possibly before then and it was not detected--doesn't mean that she was not infected. The DNA/pcr test can detect within time of exposure to 3 weeks. She could have been infected up to 3 weeks before her last negative test--though unlikely and unlikely to pass it on. Am I missing something here? Did she not work at all during the month of May and did she not have sex with anyone during that time? She must have at least once, right? Also, what about the people she might have worked with or had sex with near her last test date? Not just industry...

exactly - and that's why i already said yesterday that the name needs to be put out to all agencies and producers to check with whom she has worked in the last 2 months.

Keep in mind that the test results are not Gold Standard tests and are highly prone to error. High possibility that they are not positive at all if they only tested once.

I'm not so much concerned about a potential for a false positive, as much as Patient Zero worked before having a clear test, and that the producer and male talent, apparently didn't double-check or care, unless of course AIM mistakenly told everyone that Patient Zero was negative (clear) for HIV.

I would like some clarification from AIM or the others involved, since we common producers are being kept in the dark by all concerned, since it's "no big deal"...

She may have had a false negative test in April, spread the virus around on screen and off, then come back to test again only in June get a positive result.

I'm shocked AIM has not taken this into consideration. Or... perhaps she did not work in May?

And Far-L is right AIM does not use gold standard testing and they do get false positives from time to time, though with the test they use a false negative is more likely

But it is my understanding the second test on Sat was positive as well and that they are now awaiting results of the confirmatory Western Blot test....though its probably already back
