Correct, I support them as well. Besides the great service and uptime, I do consider them as friends. I hope I will have a great time with them in Vegas.

Over Likewhoa, they have a lot of satisfied members, they had good uptime etc. But that attitude is just SO bad.

I worked both with isprime and likewhoa, so i'll try to be objective on this. Here is a short summary.

ISPRIME:

Good experiences:

- They gave me good prices (i thought), and that made me switch from virtual to dedicated for the first time.
- Tech support guys were really cool people. I would even talk to them about programming and other stuff unrelated to my server issues.
- Server and bandwidth was high quality, with very rare downtimes.

Bad experiences:

- Their icq support was not 24/7. I never liked using email for this.
- I found out I was paying twice as much as a friend for the same service, who i refered to isprime myself at the first place.
- Once i was overcharged because of their billing systems error, and my bank account balace went negative, so the bank charged me $25 extra for every single time i used my debit card until i found out about the situation. Isprime refunded me the money that they charged for, but i never got the money back that the bank charged me. I have been told by alex that it wasnt their reponsibility. The billing system still kept overcharging and refunding me for the next 3 months, luckily i was prepared.
- I was contacted by them when they found out i was switching to Likewhoa, and they wanted to offer me a "special" deal so maybe I would stay with them. I found out that the deal they offered me was their referral program which already applied to all their costumers.
- Many little things added up and i figured their business practises were not making me a happy customer anymore. So i switched.



I can also give you a summary for my experiences with likewhoa in the same format as above, but i figured this thread is about Isprime and i shall stick with the subject.

I worked very hard to work out a deal for you to get a dedicated server. If you remember I personally made arrangements so you and your friends could split the bill and pay half. Billing mistakes do happen; we do our best to correct them. I don?t think you where over billed for anything and all money was credited to you. Our noc icq is online 24-7 everyone who hosts with us knows they are able to reach someone from our company night or day. Likewhoa offered you a free server in exchange for using their counter and posting for them. So I understand why you moved over. I don?t blame you. I tried my best to keep you happy and there where numerous times that you recommended our company on this board and to your friends. Good luck.

I didn't know it was 'very hard' since the deal i received was not a lot better than what you were offering to everyone else as a 'special' at that time.


Yes you did, and it worked for a month or two. Then you guys started billing only me again and my friend had to pay me directly.
I was paying over $600/month for the server and 300gigs of bandw. Later, just before i left, i found out another close friend of mine was paying you only $300 for the exact same service. And this person I had referred to you guys myself!

Again, as i said above, the money was credited back to me, yes.. But because of this i was charged some fees by my bank for my account going to negative. Alex told me that he was not gonna pay for those since it wasn't his responsibility. So i did lose money because of this mistake of your billing company.

There was no such thing when i was with you. I could only use email out of regular business hours, and the responds were not prompt unless it was an emergency.

Believe me, it's not as simple as that. $0 or $300 doesnt make any difference to me when it comes to server fees, i'm not that cheap. I have talked to Likewhoa after i decided to switch hosts.



Yes you were really cool to me and you are still good in my book. I don't become enemies with someone just because i stop working with them. But business is business. If I believe I'm gonna be happier elsewhere, I just move on.


Yes i did, you probably still have customers that have been referred by me.


My previous post was about my experiences only and it was from long time ago. If you believe that you are doing a better job about those little things and your customers are not gonna face the same problems as i did, then good for you, and good for them.

Anyways, frustrations aside, isprime has done an excellent job of taking care of problems for our site, and seem to care about getting us set up properly with the tools we need to manage the site.
