Good Stock Photography Houses? - GoFuckYourself.com

anybody know some good stock photography websites that don't charge an arm and a leg for web licensing? my god you should see what some of these companies like Corbis and Getty want.

I need an image of a big fat guy, wise guy Mafioso type, like you'd see at a race track. Has to be legal cuz it's not for me and i can't expose a client to the risk of using something i 'found' on the Net.

Be ready to get the wallet out, some of those guys want a fortune. I got some pictures of Thai pole dancers with a stock library, reguarly get checks for $100-300 come in the post.

But your best bet is Google.

Royalty-free images are affordable. I happen to like www.imagestate.com.

In the event you should need it, their sales / customer service department is excellent.

thanks. affordable i guess. the prices were in English pounds. Royalty free images look to be about 120 bucks American. The couple of pictures i was interested in are 'Rights Protected' and they don't have prices for those, you have to call.

how do photographers know that the stock photo agency is being honest with them and not selling stuff and not reporting it to them? I've always wondered about the adult photo brokers, how are photographers who sell through brokers protected?
