Personally I think I am going to buy the Playstation 3. It has better graphics. I posted this poll because I want to know why people would rather have an xbox 360 over a ps3? -

Why are you not a big fan of ps3 AJ? I like the controller better on the xbox 360 but i believe the graphics are better on the ps3 and that is all i'm concerned with since they both have the same games that i am interested in. (call of duty)Comment

As far as online play goes Xbox cannot be beat. The dashboard is a little bit nicer than the ps3 but maybe that is because i use it more. As for the controllers the ps3 feels like it was made by fisher price. Graphics are better on ps3 and the hardware is much better quality but you just cannot beat xbox live and the controller design for FPS. Xbox has ACTUAL triggers FTW.Comment

Games are pretty much the same. Plus it has the advantage of Blu-Ray!

If you take games that are available for both systems and put them head to head, the 360 gets my vote...mostly because of the online experience. Graphic differences won't be too noticeable here.
The PS3 has some great games you can't and won't ever get to play on the 360.

Both had their advantages and disadvantages, but I would have to say (for me) Xbox is the better choice. I have had my xbox for 2 years with 0 problems, runs just as fast as the day I purchased it. The online features are amazing, Streams netflix movies from my queue, about to intergrate with Facebook / Twitter and the new Natal (Similar to WII, hands free controllers) looks pretty cool. I have never been a fan of the PS controller layouts and the games are... well.. lacking. The Blue-Ray is certainy a plus but I would imagine before too long Xbox will have a module for blue ray, or just go pick one up. The prices aren't all that outrageous at they were at first so PS is starting to loose ground on having that as an advantage.

The 360 simply has more good games. If you like FPS games you almost have no choice but to get a 360. The PS3 is finally getting some games next year but it really only has a handful of good games right now.
Graphics wise, there is very little difference between the two and most comparisons show the 360 gets the edge.

Show me something that demonstrates the better graphics. I'm a PS3 owner, and i love it, but the two systems are just about equal graphically. There is a difference, but if one is better than the other, its not noticeable.
If you care so much about graphics, you should stick with PC gaming. Those graphics are on a different level. Depending on what type of game it is, I usually opt for the PS3 version, because i like to kick back on my couch with a handheld controller. I already spend too much time sitting in front of a computer.
What it comes down to is which system has the better games. XBOX has way more, but that doesn't mean that they're all necessarily good.
Oh, and I don't know if the red ring of death on xbox is still an issue, but I hear all the time about systems dying. Also, the only 2 Xbox 360 owners I know personally have experience the RROD. Those are not good odds.Last edited by bronco67; 06-08-2009, 01:17 PM.

i have both, mainly the ps3 for the bluray player.
have 4 games for ps3
and 102 games for xbox 360
xbox 360 online play is much better.Since 1999: 69 Adult Industry awards for Best Hosting Company and professional excellence.

I am on my 2nd 360, the first died with the ring of death after about 2 years of owning it. I considered the PS3 but ultimately decided to stick with the 360 because I like the games. Xbox has put out some really good stuff in the last 2 years

For people having problems with the 3 red lights, remember they extended the warranty on that to 3 years. Make sure you send it in to get fixed because it is free!
Supposedly the problem is fixed on the newer motherboard models, but they still have other things that can break.Comment

I have PS3 and I wouldn't change it to Xbox.
The graphics are pretty much the same on both consoles.
It all boils down to which system's controller you like, and if there's exclusive titles on either machine that are 'must haves' for you...and I'm off.Comment

I went with the PS3 cause i love the blue ray player. I'm not a big gamer and I only have like 4 or 5 games for it but i have over 30 blue ray discs and more in the mail
