				 | Starting A Paysite: Goin' Full Bore... Okay, so for years I've run my sites with an AVS and have done good. Never a bad pay period. Didn't have the time for paysite duties and I kept reading about the headaches paysite owners have had to deal with. With the recent news about crackdowns on chargebacks that made me more interested in running a big paysite. I do cartoons and animation/art and I've rarely had a flame mail (maybe 4 in 5-6 years). So I'm going to go for paysite status with an affiliate program. I'ld like some input as to the ups and downs of a paysite and what you webmasters like in an affiliate program (also if you've got a service to recommend related to paysites from affiliate stuff to hosting to whatever) Thanks! | I like per unique banner click programs. Have one of those that pays 10 to 15 cents per unique. Please. No conversion ratios. It will be a very popular program. |

				 | Make sure you don't exclude affiliates from the most profitable geographical locations like some other short-sighted sponsors do. I hope I can promote you soon. Greetz Madball/Kiev(Ukraine) |

				 | Okay, I'll try to post this again ... Thanks for the responses gang. I'll be trying a simple affiliate program that doesn't exclude demographically. Partnership deal ya' know. There are some promo stuff I'll be bringing back too like sponsor ads embedded into the artwork where the surfer has to look for the 'secret link' and gets a free trial that's nothing more but a great way to upsell the sponsor's sites. Makes surfers return often to see the new secret link. Also I'll be working on a daily or weekly seriealized toon series that webmasters can subscribe to for like $10 a year. Most webmasters can't afford original content like I make so this way I'll be able to provide something for all webmasters to keep retention. So again, any services you guys recommend lemme know. | I need to add my two cents...... At my first convention when I was first hired for Lightspeed Media, at one of the classes I was told "Don't open a paysite - you can't compete with me". Bullshit. if you are willing to put in enough effort it's well worth it.
