The other day I had to park in a public parking lot in the downtown core while running a few errands.
As I was walking out of the parkin' lot - I walked past a parked minivan with a guy sittin' in the driver's seat, laptop on his lap...surfin' porn (the screen was obvious in view as I walked by).
I stopped for a moment, turned and jokingly said, "Mom kick you outta the basement again?"
The guy laughed and said, "Naw, its cheaper to use the free wifi from the hockey arena across the street than pay my IP bill."
I laughed and said, "Smart thinkin'," and continued on my way.
Which makes me wonder - how common is this among surfers these days? Is it a sign of the economic times?
Maybe we need a new niche that specifically caters to the parking lot crowd?
