I also have the Digital Elph (S300) and have been happy with it this far.

Let us know what you decide.

the new Canon Elph is out....the S230. Smaller than the S300 and S330. Same size as the old 2mp S100, S110, S200.

S230 - 3.14MP, improved speed etc etc.

I have the S100, S200 and a Nikon D100 dig slr. I want to get the S230 since the S100 takes pics with slightly cold colors (blueish skin tones) and the S200 has some occasional problems with being a split second slow to focus and release the shutter.

like the others said... dpreview.com and steve's are the best two sites.

also

http://www.imaging-resource.com/ is a good site for reviews.

i have the olympus d510z if you want to buy it. i had to upgrade to a better camera for photography. the camera was about $300 when i got it. it works fine except the lcd screen goes black and white for some reason sometimes. if you want it make me an offer.

I'm selling the last of my 35mm "film" cameras and staying all digital now. Used it for traveling mostly. An Olympus IS-30.

Sure - if it comes with all the batteries, leads, manuals and software I'll take it from you for $50.

yes, pretty small, but:Effective pixels 1.24million ... you will get very unhappy when you look at your pics in 10 years time and wonder why you didnīt get a decent camera ... but just for fun ... itīs probably a fine.
