I had submitted galleries in the past, and while searching web I am finding my gallery links on websites I never had submitted to. I am not complaining since it is just more traffic. But is this a common practice, that other websites use these links as content on their websites. Do most of you ask them to remove the links...
Is it common for submitted galleries to land on other websites?

I have been looking at referers more closely and seeing an increase....now hopefully the links will also end up in search engines.

They most probably own the other sites and simply export their galleries, or they share a database.
and no...no reason to ask to remove your links

yup I've seen this since I first started as a affiliate back in 2001. I would submit galleries to one text tgp and 1 out of 10 would end up listed on a very big TGP and I loved it
then there is the places like LARGE surfer boards that would post your links or hotlink you images.. I would sometimes turn off hotlinking to some urls like thatComment

It also happends quite often that webmasters use their existing Gallery Database from Site A to start a new TGP or MGP. I'm happy about those additional links, good for SEO, and I'm still getting sales from galleries I've submitted back in 2001....Comment
