    Hello,

Does anyone know anything about these folks or the isp that hosts their site? AdvancedHosters is the isp listed on a who is look up.

    Thanks,

Their host isn't going to do anything. I'm still not sure why people think that trying to DMCA the hosts of these forums is anything other than a waste of time.

If you find your content, DMCA the file sharing host it is linked to and stored on (Rapidshare, Megaupload, Depositfiles, etc). You can also DMCA the image host the screen caps are stored on (Image Venue, Picture Bang, etc). In most cases your content will be removed within a few hours.

These forums are not hosting your content, they are linking to the file sharing sites and image hosts that are. The forum's host has probably already received thousands of DMCA's and they aren't interested in doing anything since the content is not stored or hosted on their servers...

These boards are really disturbing, unfortunately there are lots of them active in fetish/femdom niches (fetisizm, bdsm haifa, extreme board, etc.) The only good thing is that most of the uploaders post the same links all over the boards so you can get rid of them quite quickly

in reality if someone had the resources a host that ignores dmca requests could be successfully sued if they are in the usa.

Thank you for this post. This is exactly what my attorney said. Of course, he also said pursuing it isn't cheap. I spent 8 solid hours filling out DMCA notices today. Rapidshare and depositfile took the content down nearly as soon as they were asked.

As far as hosting companies that allow clients like messyshare.com and hidebehind.com, my attorney sent DMCA forms. I also wrote emails. AdvancedHosters.com is the listed isp for two websites that are set up for the sole purpose of filesharing. There may well be more. I even found my own isp hosting a file sharing website! (I called my account manager on the phone for this one.)

Holy cow, I could spend 40 hours a week on this! In fact, I will probably end up hiring someone to do this. I'd go broke spending all of my time this way...which is probably what the maggots who who set up file sharing sites count on.

I've sent countless of e-mails to rapidshare and the like to take down stuff, and they've always taken it down very very quickly, and the fact that the extreme board users complain and ask for re-uploads is actually quite a compliment!

That being said...these sites aren't going away. I haven't been keeping up with the pirate bay case, but if I'm not mistaken - if they get found guilty for essentially just linking to files, won't that set a precedent for forums as well?

extreme board is run by an ex-BDSM paysite owner...I remember finding a page talking about why he started the site.

I do find it pretty disappointing though that certain affiliate programs are letting him even be an affiliate, considering that entire site is based on stolen content. I guess its just the nature of the beast these days.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I agree that rapidshare is great for taking files down timely. Just keeping file sharing in check could easily become a full time job. My membership site does extremely well. My clips store sits in the Number 1 spot on clips4sale. So, I know my content is tops. This is because I put a lot of money and time into the shoots. When I put 15k into a single shoot and see all of the videos posted on forums, such as extreme-board, it is really a kick in the pants. Factor in the fact that the board is being run by a former bdsm webmaster and the posting is being done by my supposed fans and..holy cow! I guess it is part of the business that I will need to learn to deal with more effectively.

It is shocking that membership sites are allowing extreme-board to join their affiliate program. Oh man, I wonder if the scum has joined mine and if so, under what url. Thinking about it makes my skin crawl. Do you remember the bdsm site the webmaster used to own?

As for the pirate bay case...my understanding is the same as yours. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

                Thanks again for your response.
