Where do you get REALLY cheap airline tickets?
I've gone to Priceline, Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotwire and they're all about the same. I need a really good deal on a round trip flight New Orleans/Las Vegas next month. Smart group here, figured there might some ideas.

There are usually only a few places to check and most of the prices on the lower end are going to be about the same depending on how far in advance you are booking and the route. The less common the route and the farther away from the big hub airports you are at, the harder it will be to get a deal. You could try Cheaptickets.com, but that will be approx. the same prices as Priceline or Travelocity. Some routes may have a discount airline that serves the route, like Spirit or JetBlue, and you can try their web sites directly.

Check out Allegiant Air for Vegas flights. Their prices change all the time and sometimes get down to $29 each way before fees/taxes. They usually fly out of smaller areas.

If you can bundle hotel and air then look at US Airways vacation. Last month I got a Air + 2 Nights hotel for around $170 for a Phoenix - Vegas Ticket + Hotel. Just hotel would have cost more then $170.
