It is LOOSELY based on Chris Mallick's entrance and duration of his time into the adult world when he took over at Epoch. Of course, I said LOOSELY because there are tons of things in the movie that never really happened in real life that make the movie enjoyable....the russian mob, a murder, a kidnapping, a hunt for a terrorist (well....that really did happen), etc. I have had the pleasure of seeing the movie in it's entirety and it is amazing. The writers did a great job of turning Chris' stories into a blockbuster.

The movie is not about the early days of internet porn....the movie is about a Texas family man who gets involved in the BUSINESS side of porn in the early days. Web Hosts, IPSPs, etc are not really "in the porn business" we are simply "middle men". We connect the surfer to the pornographer....however, once you get into the business the business can consume you and can ruin marriages, stress kids relationships, etc. This is a story about how a guy was suppose to get in and get out....and ended up staying in a little too long.

In fact, the tag line for the movie is "Business is a lot like sex....getting in is easy, pulling out is hard"
