It'll be 7 years in June for me and my husband (that's 7 years total, our 6th wedding anni. is in March) , a year in January for me and my girlfriend.

Married for almost 2 months......and I love it.....and not it's not
harder to find women when you are in Porn.....in fact I think it's
easier......and I'm not talking about models pornstars.

Whenever I met women it's one of the first things I would tell
them......very open, very detailed. At first women think it's weird
and maybe even dirty and that you must be a perv....(which I am).

But at the same they are curious so it's a great original subject
for a conversation....you can skip the cliche's and the other pickup
bullshit.....

Remember....the girl might thought you were a freak after 10
minutes she will think you might not be that bad afterall and
she starts to like you....

My wife had nothing to do with the industry now she totally
accepts it.....she never nags about me working long hours.
She knew this from the start and I tell everything that is going
on. She understands that if I stay in my office then it's needed.

She is also interested in our business we live from it and if there
is anything in which she can assist she will gladly do. Of course
I'll take her to shows/parties/diners....I have nothing to hide from
my wife and she knows that......so really 100% no problems at all

I think one of the hard things about relationships these days is we all live with such a limited amount of time. Relationships demand lots of it. This business tends to consume a lot even though its the ideal auto pilot kind of life, most of us love hanging online and allocating time galore to GFY and other cool spots. So our girlfriends sit there looking at us saying ok enough already with the online shit how about some time for me. I know I had that happen in my 2nd marriage towards the end.

Anyway my last major one was 14 years long, and we still are friends since we have a fantastic kid together and try to make the best of it for his sake. But its not easy when you have a child cause inside you kind of just wish you could go on and not have to interact so much with someone who you know no longer desires you and you no longer desire them. So it becomes kind of like a "family" relationship and that keeps it intact. You can't get jealous when they sit there talking about their new love life and you say yours.

I've been married twice. First one in my 20's was really a dumb move where I thought this is the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. We got married without really talking in depth on all the subjects you need to when you do get hitched to someone. Like when do you want to start having kids and shit like that.
My first wife's personality post saying I do was radically different than when we were just fiances. It was a remarkable instant transformation and our personalities started to clash from all the day in day out routine stuff that comes into play when you get married. I was working in the corporate world and just starting to make some good bucks. She couldn't handle all the time I had to devote to my job. Usually at work by 7 and not home til 8 at night. I worked my way up to VP Sales fast and that kind of deal you are always out with clients and stuff. She couldn't deal with it and thought I was going out on her, which I never did. Started calling the office and asking my secretary to keep tabs on me and spying stuff like I'd see her in the car watching me come out from work. It got really bizarre. We were divorced in 24 months.

Second marriage was great, but she was a spender and even though I did really well I always felt like if the money wasn't there to the extent it was she would have left me for another guy with bucks. She got fucked up after we had a kid and she couldn't deal with all the mom routines and getting older and the lifestyle change you go into when you have a family. Still she was and will always be the love of my life. But everything has a beginning and everything has an ending and thats just how life works sadly.

Maybe it's me, but I think innocent online relationships - if the two parties are serious, tend to work in the sense that people don't expect much (I'm not referring to dating services but chat rooms other than dating/single themed chat rooms, message boards, etc...) People are there for another reason, you meet, find a common ground, some are honest and when you find those and you click then all the better. They don't know what labels you wear, what you drive or how much money you may have or not. There is less superficial bull.

Maybe I was just lucky - but 4 years since we met - 3 years married and still in love.

Personally, I'm the kind of person that detests being single and think that it's overrated. I think that given long enough time to heal, nobody wants to be alone. If you have other goals to settle before you want to get tied down, then clubs are fun in the meantime. Personally, I went to clubs for the loud pounding music, and hated being hit on - and yes, even if I'm a BBW, I was hit on more than the hot slim babe next to me - why? cuz I wasn't interested, I was the challenge - and the babes would say - WHAT THE FUCK do they see in HER?....heheheh Murphy's Law - Look and you won't find - Stop being available and they are doing the bunnyhop to get to you.

I meet my girlfriend in a chat room and we're "together" for 5 years, 3 months and 17 days :) We still live 1600 miles (3000km)away, what sucks. Distance really sucks. I could use that phone bill money for going out with her to restaurants or something cool.

Trixxxa is absolutely right in my opinion. My hubby and I were both playing for enjoyment, not to meet anyone. We met in game, found common interests and goals, learned more about the person behind the character and started to chat on ICQ. After a couple of months we started chatting on the phone. We never saw each other until I came over to visit him for the first time. We learned about each other in every other way but never had a chance to get hung up on the physical or sexual side of things. Then when we finally got together and we were physically compatible, it was a bonus.

I'm not a good one to ask I guess.. twice married, twice divorced... first time 5 years, second time 9, and I'm almost done paying for that one. Found nothing by the wrong guys to date since then... get too comfortable with my comfortable life. Heck.. I've stopped bothering to even look these days.

My parents on the other hand have been married over 42 years.
