I've met photographers and models I've never met before and set up shoots with them, including DEAN CAPTURE
I've recruited webcam models for my studio
I've had webcam customers who spend $5/min and website members who send 29.99 a min say to me "I never even heard of you until I did a pornstar search on Twitter and your pics hooked me, now I'm a member of your site!" I actly got 1 member (that I know of, hopefully more) that signed up for a year membership to my site, and before I hurt my back I have a webcam customer that spend about $100 a night on me from Twitter
I've also doubled the traffic to my blog and get tons of of blog comments from people who would of never visited my blog before, hopefully one day they will spend $ too
I've also sent all of my Twitter followers to my myspace, where I get a chance to spam them some more!
You just can't post all links to your stuff or your Twitter page will look like spam and people will stop following you. I make my page a balance between naughty pics, interacting with my followers and links to my site or my blog. Sometimes I get more clicks on a link if I don't explain what it is like I'll put "OMG look at this shit!" and a link to my blog..I know this is all very basic common sense shit, but for me at least, it REALLY WORKS! Way better than myspace ever did, and I was getting 70+ clicks a day into my webcam chatroom from my myspace bulletins alone!

I totally use twitter and have many of the Dreamgirls using it. One of the cool things is if you use it and then use bit.ly to shorten your URLs you can track clicks through bit.ly to see if people are clicking on your links.Comment

i usually do it like this:
- choose a keyphrase (1 minute)
- set up a twitter acct (1 minute)
- set up a blog on my wpmu (1 minute)
- activate my autoposting system, which posts to my blog which then posts to twitter (1 minute)
- wait 24hrs
- get 100 uniques per day per acct.
rinse and repeat for other keyphrases.. additionally i social bookmark or dump my twitter pages.
That's about it, had some great success in mainstream and now seeing good results in adult as well.. perhaps i'll post some stats in the future.Last edited by itto; 09-30-2009, 10:08 AM.

well, it's a phpscript that's integrated into my wpmu setup.. it generates keyword-heavy 100+words blog posts (+ an img-link to a gallery) and then post the titles to twitter with a link back to my blogpost.. additionally, it follows people that are interested in your subject.
it's nothing special, really - but it works for me (so far).
like i mentioned before, i will post some stats soon (in a week or so).. need to work out a few minor bugs in the adult version.Comment

I use twitter but it seems It works best with at least two accounts as I have to deal with two sides of the biz. Webmasters and fans. And for the fans, you dont want to let them in on too much of the biz. And I have a personal one, because for the one's i use for fan's, and I hate this term, "but I'm in character."
