I AM using it for myself. I AM using it to speed up MY JOB, which is what I believe it was put there for. I am not advertising that if you want GASS but do not want to buy it, pay me and I'll do it for you. I am saying I will do the job for you. How do I do it? I use GASS to speed up the job. A lot of people submit galleries for other people, and they have never had a problem.

It's there to speed things up, I bought it to do exactly that.

No doubt. Every submission service I've ever encountered however either does it by hand (i.e. with no additional help from automation) or by using custom desktop Win32 apps or scripts written by themselves.

That's cool - that's what it was designed to do. Speed up YOUR submissions. When you start submitting someone else's gallery using a proxy, they're no longer yours.

Your arguement is that you're simply using the software as it was intended to be used (i.e. on your machine submitting your own galleries). If the galleries do not reside on domains you own, with designs you either made yourself or commissioned yourself and containing pictures that you do not hold a license to use, how can they be your submissions?



So now you're charging people to generate sales and traffic using a bought program that the recipient of the sales never has to have a license for, nor has to ever even touch?

If you were generating sales for me, say, by sending your own traffic with your own refcode and then giving me the money, then that would be okay with you by your own arguements?



But you're assuming that we're working for a salary. We're not - we are commision based.

If I work for an insurance firm and I get X% of every policy I sell and I sell zero policies, I'm getting nothing.

That cuts into my sales. Had you not mentioned my product at all, it probably wouldn't have been an issue. Now everyone that sees that thread and uses your service is a lost sale for me.

However, nothing in the license prevents it's use for the purpose which you intend. I would like to impress upon you the necessity of NOT using my company name or product name in your advertising of your service UNLESS it is for the sole purpose of sending customers my way.

siccmade - you could at least have updated you're gass list. The list you posted is the default list that comes with gass. Many of those sites no longer exsist/take submissions etc.

That list is much larger than the default list, and I submit everyday to that list.

There may be a COUPLE that are sometimes down, or are not currently accepting galleries, but they stay because it is what that client wants.

That is not just the default list, it's the list I submit to daily.

Then, he comes across a handy tool that can make him far more productive, and be able to cater to his current clients quicker, and to cater to even more clients.
