Yes, I noticed.. it was probably done a long time ago, that's probably the reason why. These days dentists only use composite resins (white fillings) and crowns. No dentist even uses silver fillings or silver crowns anymore

No she can't.. Invisalign is only to fix very minor dental problems/crookedness.. Her case will need full regular braces. I'm not a dentist but that's what I gather from seeing a few articles about invisalign just now...

That's not true. Amalgam (silver) fillings are still as popular as ever. However, it is no longer used on the outside of the tooth due to "esthetic reasons". I wish that all fillings were composite resins, it would certainly be nice. No one wants silver in their mouth. But the fact is, the technology just isn't as good as amalgam yet. Composite resins cost a lot more than amalgam fillings as well. And you run the risk of a root canal due to leakage problems.
