NationalNet offers $99 server with 2000GB? Can it be true???

Some weeks ago, NationalNet purchased the assets of RevShare Hosting ( http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=894209 ). We made this purchase to help us kick start a new offering we were working on. As you know, we have always specialized in high-end fully-managed hosting. Over the years we have had numerous requests from people that wanted to manage their own dedicated server but be backed by the power of NationalNet. You spoke...we listened...and now that day has come...Check out these deals....

    http://www.nationalnet.com/dedicated_hosting.html

    P4 2.8/1G RAM/80G HD/2000GB Transfer.....ONLY $99!!!

    P4 2.8/1g RAM/250G HD/5000GB Tansfer.....ONLY $199!!!

    DualCore/2G RAM/2x500 RAID HD/10,000GB Transfer....ONLY $329!!!

    DualCore/2G RAM/2x500 RAID HD/100Mbps.....ONLY $559!!!

Each of these servers are totally customizable. If you want to add more of anything just click the "ORDER NOW" link and you can rebuild the server to any specs you want!! If you don?t see exactly what you want, then contact sales via the link on the dedicated page and our sales team will work with you to configure a custom deal for you.

With our new agreement with cPanel we now offer a cPanel Control Panel that will allow you to manage the server yourself or you can forgo the panel and be your own System Administrator. The plus for using NationalNet for a Dedicated Server is that 24x7x365 you can take advantage of our "ON DEMAND" support for a small fee and we can help you with any problem that you encounter. Always thought you could not afford NationalNet? Well, now you can!!

Jesus Fucking Christ..... I think you guys at National Net need to put down the crack pipe.

I've been with National Net for like seven years. I'll never leave them. They are the best, hands down.

And let me clarify - per incident doesn't include reboots, hardware breakfix, etc as those are all included at no charge.

We DID test the form in FF...and in fact is the only browser I use and our developers use multiple browsers in order to test.

May I ask what you are seeing that looks wrong and what you did so we can duplicate?

An "incident" is anytime you contact support. If you're on the phone for 10 minutes or 2 hours it's the same cost (it's called "taking the good with the bad").

Obviously if the reason you're calling is because of something WE did or something we broke, there would be no charge for it.

This sounds great Bill. You guys have awesome bandwidth so for those that like to handle there own support issues and keep outsourced bills down this is a win win. I know I personally would not give up your tech support team for a cheaper bill (no pun intended) but different strokes for different folks.

Is it raw data transfer per the server logs? Or do you use 95th percentile from the MRTG and then take the mbps and multiply by 320 or something like that?

For instance, I could burn 25mbps for 48 hours straight, and then not use any bandwidth for the rest of the month.

If you're billing me in mbps at 95th percentile, then I'm paying for 25mbps, but if you're billing me in raw gigs transferred, I only transferred 503.

That's why it's important to know how those "gigs" are calculated, because most hosts who say they're billing in "gigs" just take the mbps and multiply it by 320.

Do people really do that? Wow! I guess I am just not diabolical enough to even think of something that like.....like everything we do, we do it the right way.....we just total the raw gigs done on the port....if you push 500 Gigs for 3 straight days and nothing the rest of the month you are only going to be billed for 1500 Gigs....no fuzzy math here.

We make money giving a good service for a fair price. I cant think of any other way I would want to do it.

The way you are describing would mean that the host is charging you for 320GB for every 1mbps you push and we know that in reality (unless you are doing some kind of special application) you are only going to push about 220G for every 1mbps...so that means they are overcharging their customers by 100GB for every 1mbps....so THAT is how they have been selling under cost!

I actually talked to a new NationalNet customer the other day who showed me how his hosting company was billing him like weeks before his month started....it was like he got a bill sometime in May for JUNE's service. I just laughed.

Maybe I need to get more creative...I feel like I am missing out ;)
