SERIOUSLY.
Back in 06 I paid SEOP $2,000 per month for 3 months to do one of my sites. When I handed them the site it was a PR5.. yes... 5... That's why I hired someone.. It was prime for the SEOing...
That site has NEVER seen the top 100 for "phone sex"
meanwhile sites I did myself... I have like 6 in the top 100... and 2-3 that rotate for top 10 in and out.
SEOP was a BIG company that SEOd for people like Boeing, coca cola, and other shit.. and they fucked my site to pieces. THat site, to this day, is only a pr1... and only gets yahoo traffic.. no google.
DO. It. Yourself.

In all honesty, most SEO companies are a sham. I've worked for some in the past and its a shame how they are basically stealing peoples money.
I have a few clients and customers now that have hired SEO companies, to only hear them complain 3 months later that they wasted their money. I almost feel bad for the one guy because he spent $3500/mo for a 6 month contract to only have to sue to get out of it 4 months later. They claimed the reason he could not get results was because one if his pages used to have flash on it, and they could not get the page re-indexed and would need another 3+ months
