    So AFF geoIP thinks I'm in Greenwich...

    Is that like a default location when they can't figure it out? Greenwich UK is a 24 hour flight from here.

      Has me in Charleston, South Carolina. Oh, bout 800 miles off or so. It has been constant that way for awhile. Let' see, could it be the server? Nope, they're in NJ. Got me, they'll correct it sometime or maybe it is right for most others???

          GeoIP will never be perfect, since it's based on the administrative mailing addresses for a block of IPs, but this one is WAY out.

          Might be because Greenwich is at longitude zero.

                                                      No offense, but fixing one block isn't the answer. It's the whole system or a good portion of it. I checked from multiple locations in zip area 631 and 630. Two others have been defined in this thread

                                                          I THINK the problem is localized to geo thumb ads. I think once inside a tour, the problem does not exist.

                                                                          As pussyluver said, fixing one block out of 16 million isn't going to make any difference. (More specifically because no one from my office - which has its own C class IP block - is ever going to sign up to AFF. )

                                                                          Thinks: someone could make a lot of money by creating a community that verifies geoIP.

                                                                              BTW, Greenwich (Australia) appears to be in the state of New South Wales.

                                                                              GeoIP usually thinks I'm in Queensland.

                                                                              ...but I'm actually in Victoria.
