    Do you ever get weird about eating meat?

    I don't know what is up with me lately, but I am having this weird thing where I just do not want to eat meat.

    It started back when I stopped adding salt to anything unless a recipe called for it. I was a massively heavy salt user, and it's like without the salt, I just can't deal with meat.

    Or certain kinds of meat, I guess. I can do shrimp and canned tuna. I used to LOVE grilled salmon, and that is a struggle for me.

    Beef and chicken...I just can't handle the texture. I thought yesterday that I didn't even care if I got my grill out this summer or not.

    So I am kinda at the notion of not being able to enjoy a juicy, rare steak.

      yep, I used to love steak. Now my body is better off without it, and the thought of the tough flesh in my stomach is gross.

              Nope, I haven't seen that, hon, though I have read some of the discussions about it here.

              I need a vegetarian cookbook or something, I think.

                      I did another beer can chicken yesterday -- and it was fucking kick ass! I made a nice gravy from the beer, garlic, and drippings, and the whole thing tasted amazing!

                      I was a vegetarian for 17 years (from birth) -- and never tasted anything during those first 17 years as good as the chicken I had yesterday

                      Going to do a capon next week.
