It is a fucking canned chicken, not sure what is so nasty about it.
The actual part that at very least redeems it is that funky looking slime/gelatin surrounding the carcass. It at least assures you that it is actually packaged in its own stock.
Personally would never ever serve it "roasted" or whatever. Pretty sure it could easily just be used as assorted chicken meat in many dishes without to much notice. Then again I am not scared of preserving things. Aside from chickens, I know there are many hams and assorted fish available same way.
On another note, I have a few cans of canned beef from my grandmother. I think my uncle had it butchered. Anyway, it looks absolutely disgusting... but it is some of the best stuff you will ever eat. Very very good.

I remember when I was young my parents getting a gift hamper from France that had a whole duck in a can. I can't recall eating it, so perhaps it went straight into the garbage.
why the fuck would you want to eat chicken from a can?
Because there was a very large period of time where home refrigeration did not exist or was affordable, plus no freezers really either. Thus you preserved things.
Though your same question could be applied to not only every canned food item (tuna, sardines, peaches, soups, etc.). It also could be applied to why would anyone want to eat dried beef, salted pork's, smoked sausages, and so forth.
Ohh yuk I wouldent put that any where near my mouth ...or any other part of my anatomy..come to think of it ...that is the worst looking cooked chicken I have ever seen
Well it doesn't look that appealing but then looks have nothing to do with the way something tastes.
I know all to well. Also know such types of chicken meat not only show up in assorted processed foods all of the time, sometimes even worse it is beyond canned and actually cooked and then freeze dried.
Then I really want to ask each person in thread the following. Have you had canned chicken noodle, cream of chicken, or any other form of canned chicken soup before? Cause guess what.
I had KFC grilled. was pretty good.. but the pieces were really small
Yeah, same here, I got a grilled breast meal the other day and the breast was a bit smaller than the normal, but it did taste pretty good though. Next time I'll have to get a double breast meal
what in human experience is that goo all around it when you plop it out of the can?!?
:D
that's what chicken fat looks like when it is cold. Makes me kinda wonder if it is cooked in the can at the factory or something... gross. can't even imagine what that factory is like.

The canning process pretty much requires that it be cooked.
