Web sites and services that are heavily used but still 'under the radar'?

What are some sites or services that you know a lot of folks in your life use but you barely ever really talked about. I am throwing 'tiny url' into the pot. Especially in the light of the recent twitter explosion, I see people using tinyurl all over the place. Yet, I barely ever hear (average everyday) people talk about the service.

Any other sites or services like that which are used a lot but don't get talked about too much?

Generally I am with you on that but with twitter is is suddenly being used by a lot of 'normal' people simply so that they can stay within character limits.

I remember tinyurl being used heavily in Yahoo clubs/groups since links in msg. posts couldn't handle the longer URLs.

Yeah, tinyurl, that's one for sure. Maybe imageshack and some online storage / online ftp / online fax machine sites.

A lot of 'real' surfers I know on community sites host on image shack but I have never actually been there. I take for granted having hosting.
