    Etta James.. Goddaaaaamn

I generally can't stand hearing women sing, but clearly they just weren't doing it right.

Is there nobody on planet earth that can sing like this anymore? Obviously quality on youtube isn't the greatest, but with the real deal in my headphones this song is ridiculous.

I've lost faith in music when shit like this is played in every club, bar, and every radio station to death.

    Disgusting...

Sounds like old black gospel music to me. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

        Different style, but Ella Fitzgerald:

And some more female vocalists you'll probably appreciate: Arethra Franklin, Nina Simone, Dinah Washington. There are some greats out there.

If you are going to put up an Etta James song you need to list this one.

I saw her with the Grateful Dead on New Year's Eve 82/83.

              Unvaxxed, still alive.

Etta James is amazing and one of my favorite female singers. I love the song At Last.

Don't forget Cleo Laine. This chick had a four octave range and could make her voice sound like an alto sax and a clarinet. awesome.
