There was a thread 4/26/09 about domain registration and someone told me 1&1 does not host pornsites . They refered to 7.6 of the terms and conditions. Well 7.7 and 7.5 is telling that you can have a legal adult site like mine are and 1&1 is fine with that. In fact I called them today and they told me they are fine with adult sites as long as you have disclaimers and the meta tags to block minors like my website does. Also a how to build a porn site website is who reffered me to 1&1 and 1&1 and me discussed that and they know about that affiliate . Anyway I will continue to have them on my sig because they are adult freindly as long as everything is legal.

I had a directory with not images just adult links that was registered there. and they wouldnt let me renew it or transfer it. there are plenty of good adult hosts you should try instead.

I can't speak for their hosting, but there are tons of stories of people registering domains there and then shortly later being told that the domain actually isn't available. Then when the person checks whois, it was just registered.

They do not register domains in real time, and it is speculated by many that they are making search and even purchase data available to someone to take any domains they want before 1&1 does the actual registration.

I had them for a year or two strictly as a backup host and when I tried to cancel they made me have to fax all this bullshit paperwork in. I couldn't just cancel online. It was a complete pain in the ass, a long drawn out process.
