so my happy as was on my skateboard ( i know, what the fuck is a guy in his 30s doing on a fucking skateboard)

just rolling a long, then all of a sudden it felt like i got shot in the bottom of my fucking foot.

i feel to the ground, and couldnt put any weight on it what so ever, so went to the hospitol last night, they did xrays and didnt see anything broken, so they refered me to an ortho specialist for tomorrow.

doc said not seeing anything broken leads her to think that i tore a ligament. im reading up on this shit on the net, and this shit sounds scary as fuck.

anyone ever done this, or had this happen?

fucking hurts like pure ass.

well, 2 months ago it happend to me while playing soccer, its a fucking shit, but I do everything now, even running and playing soccer again, but it hurts a bit and I'm not that flexible anymore with my leg

need more time...

I tore a ligament in my thigh playing tackle base ball when was like 12.. then reinjured it in freshman year football.

I'm 42 and still skateboarding, and I know a few guys 50+ still shreadding, so you are far from old.

A little more than a year ago I broke my wrist and suffered a grade 3 ankle sprain (which you have probably found out from your research is complete tearing of the ligaments) and the broken wrist, though grotesque at first since the bone poked through the skin, healed amazingly well. A metal plate, 13 screws and some therapy later, I only have a little loss of range of motion.

The ankle on the other hand, is still pretty fucked up. I won't be hitting any big bowls this year, sticking to mellow downhill bombing and flow bowl carving trying to build the strength back up, but I am skating again.

It does suck and takes forever to heal. I couldn't put weight on mine for almost a month. Arthroscopic surgery (and therapy) is the only thing that will fix it quick, but most insurance won't cover it UNLESS it keeps you from walking.
