MAC stuff for KMANROX

the most important thing is to learn how your mac works and what it CAN do. Take the time to set up you're magic mouse, figure out dashboard and expose, play with utilities like "grab" etc.

all good stuff.

Don't forget to download flip4mac for watching .wmv's plus whatever other codecs you may need for videos at Quicktime Components

For Excel Spreadsheets go get Open Office if you don't have MS Office for Mac

and although Safari is tight, Firefox is the best browser, so go get that here.

When you need something else app or program-wise, hit Version Tracker

Have fun and remember to jerk off to mac user Ivy Black.

You're going to need both. They're both free.

I use handbrake when I need tv shows, movies, etc. to use on my touch, and I use ripper when the dvd is encoded, then I use handbrake.

Both is an easy answer.

Wow, some great things I'm going to have to try out in this thread.
Just got rid of my 2 iMacs & old MacBook Pro & traded up for a new 17" MBP completely maxed out with 8G of ram, Solid State drive & all. Crazy fast & crazy expensive.

My fave apps are:
Coda
Transmit
Tunnelblick
1Password
Adium
KeyCue
Typinator
Little Snitch
Color Schemer Studio
Paragon NTFS
Terminal

JasonB 04-23-2009 09:22 PM

oh, and ScreenFlow
