    Craziest shit just happened!! Remember to lock your doors!!!

    Just tried calling a friend of mine back home in Sweden (time over there 1:am) but he wasn't in yet so just started shooting the shit with his girlfriend while I waited for my friend to come back home.

    While I was on the phone with her she hears the door being opened and she yells out my friends name but doesn't get an answer so she yells it out again then goes towards the hallway. The lights in the hallway are turned off but she see's a light then all of a sudden a man she has never before seen is standing right infront of her in her hallway with a flashlight.

    She screams "Who are you!!?!!" "Get out!!" while I am on the phone. She says to me in the phone there is a man in the hallway. Then the man runs out and she runs out after him! I scream to her to go back inside and lock the door!

    She goes back in starts crying from the chock and I then grab my cell to call my friend and to tell him to hurry the fuck home. I also phone the police to tell them what happened and to get them to send a car over there right away.

                          Was not even going to go into the lights being off.

                          1. She did not see approaching flashlight. (perhaps strange house layout).
                          2. She called out a males name at least twice, obviously loud enough for it to be heard to whomever entered. This would of alerted intruder that someone was home. (perhaps he did not care and she would just become a victim).

                          4. He ran away when he saw her. (perhaps he suddenly lost his desire to make her a victim).
                          5. She chased him outside.

                          But what the hell it could happen as I hear of stupid crimes all of the time.

It was LOCKED but I found out later that the extra bit that allows you to slam lock it will actually let an intruder force the frame sideways and pop open the door.

                                                                                                              Cops were very quick that day as they were nearby, another property was broken into while the kids were (alone) upstairs. Eeeek...

                                                                                                              Needless to say I had an extra deadlock installed that night, partly for appearances but mostly for peace of mind. I also have a security camera at the front door now.
