I was around here awhile back as a very talented skiddie. I made my destructive & intrusive presence known to quite a few. Created one of the best, informative, & memorable GFY threads of 2005. The heavy hitters on this board know exactly what I'm talking about, exactly who I am and exactly what I am capable of doing.
I owned one of the biggest user/pass message boards on the internet. We catered to .edu & only .edu addys .
My theory was why pay 19.99 and up membership fees when you can access it for free. An associate of mine designed and developed a program that raped google of any and all data which included passes. We had access to any site on the net. That was the start of it all.
A lot of college students frequented our forums. As time passed we recruited computer science majors involved in everything from server architecture to encryption. They didn't give a fuck, it was free porn. When one wasn't around there were countless others to fill their shoes. We entertained universities from here to ten-buck-two.
Some websites required your email addy as a user. Some dimwits used their actual email addy password as the password on the website. Viola, when we raped google, not only did we gain access to their paid membership, we had access to their email account too.
You would not believe what data can be obtained in emails.
There are no security measures on a email accounts boys and girls.

We gained root to some loud mouth named bonepron.

Gained root and could have destroyed California Pimp

Many took banking / credit account numbers and went on wild international spending sprees.

What are your website log-on security measures now?
