I need outsourcing company recommendations...

Please don't just shout a name because you know someone there or they've bought you a drink, and if you work for one, I'm ignoring your response.

Please only recommend outsourcing companies you've used and have been very happy with. Good code, good designs, acceptable return times.... all that fun stuff.

We have tried to use a couple of the big ones, and the staff they proposed were awful. The "designers" outsourcers use are just the worst. Programmers are even worse. Most use open source designs and code to hack up and send you. Rarely do you get anything close to what you want.

Yeah, I suspect that a lot of people find that but there has to be some company somewhere that people have been happy with.

that's basically how it is, if you want someone half decent you have to find them yourself, not through an outsourcing shop...

Actually, you're better off working with individuals. I know you're looking for companies, but somehow it's easier to get through with individuals. In our case, we have a stable of Creative Writers from the Philippines. Most of them are in their thirties and forties, and have good background from Advertising and Publishing. And we deal with them separately. Age is also an important factor because they have better work ethic than the younger ones. But then again, that's just for the text generating portion of the operation.

Not if they ever needed more than simple hack jobs. Basically stay away from anyone outsourcing Filipinos and Indians. If you have the time, do like AssPirate says, go out and sift through individuals, although it is a time-consuming tedious process.

It also depends a lot on what you're looking for. If you need coders, you could probably get some good East Europeans from sites like elance, scriptlance and the like, I know I've hired a few on various occasions. Even dealt with some Americans and boy was I glad I paid a premium compared to the Indians whom I had to explain things to over and over again and they still got shit wrong.

I have had a lot of luck going to Digital Point and hiring outsourced workers directly off there. Just drop a post in the Buy, Sell, or Trade section and specify that you want to see examples or portfolios. Now granted I haven't hired anyone that has had to do anything too complicated, but I'm pretty happy with what I have found so far, and I deal with them one on one.

I can tell you to stay far, far away from Prime Outsourcing. They are the absolute worst and I wouldn't hire them to mow my lawn...
