Fact of the matter is that what he is saying couldn't be more true in many ways.
I have about 50 cards from this year in Vegas i haven't touched yet, why? they look like shit so called other companies first, got swamped and never looked back "yet".
Creating a GOOD business card is tough, that's why some companies actually put a great deal of money into having another company that do nothing but that for a living do it for them.

I admit if it's less cheap looking/feeling you don't throw it out so quickly, but that doesn't mean you sit around looking at it all the time. The cards I use are fairly thick, UV coated on the front, and have generally been complimented a lot because the front is nice looking and catch the eye. The back has the info and that includes a bunch of the better domains I own, so in a way I do agree with much of what this guy says but his card is just a TAD overboard. The only thing worse than a boring card is a total "LOOK AT ME!" card.
Want to crush it in mainstream with Facebook ads? Hit me up.
That video was jokes. Reminds me of the Tom Cruise Scientology video.
It doesn't matter how pretty your card is if people can't store it in their card binder it's going in the trash.
I once had a 1 hour conversation with a printer about how big of a difference using the right paper and cutting the paper in the right direction makes to a business card.
So, you think it makes sense to hand someone a business card that they have to load onto a pc in order to view?
It depends on who the person is. Obviously you're not going to hand them out to every tom, dick 'n harry who comes along.
But lets say you're meeting up with someone who needs web graphics done, or a video production, anything multi-media...they'd appreciate the opportunity to check out your portfolio in the convenience of a business-card sized format.
I've received a few from various business people over the years at conventions, and always took a moment to check'em out on the laptop. In fact, one led to us using their company for some marketing a few years back.
This guys dissing a regular business card used by 99.999% of the companies in the world and he's telling me that it took him 25 years to make a business card that impresses him? Holy fuck what a fucking loooooooser.
If I made a business card that could give guys a blowjob and make the girls orgasm on lunchbreaks, i'm sure i'd impress some people too...
