My life as a nerd was shaped by playing D&D. If you were into D&D...you could spend 8 hours straight and have the greatest time.

Bummer. I still have boxes of hand painted grenadier figures and a notebook full of maps and game ideas from my D&D days. I would write modules to submit, but never had anything accepted officially. RIP

May he rest in peace. If it weren't for him and Gary Gygax, online gaming would have been very different.

Correction: Gary Gygax passed away in March of 2008, not 2009. We apologize for any confusion.

Fuck I loved that game as a kid. I can remember playing in a group that met at the library a few nights a week and the ages of everyone in the group ranged from 11-48. I still have a few of my old hardcover books like the Monster Manuals...

RIP I used to play D&D back in junior high. Fuck the haters, it was a fun game. I also like Traveller -- space role playing game by GDW. I wonder what those pioneers think of MMORPG. Totally blew pencil and paper RPG games out of the water.

I think this industry is made up three types of guys:

                                1. D&D player as a kid that moved into computers (myself.)
                                2. Bottle service guys.
                                3. "Porn is a great way to make easy money."
