because of the unique position of epassporte being purely online , couldnt there be another solution , like rotating pin numbers ?

like 5 pin numbers , once a withdraw takes place the pin rotates to a new pin

It does not mean more fees.
If you log in to your account and click Visa Cards --> ATM Protection Program --> Activate Personal Limits then your limits is exactly the same as before.

This is to protect against fraud but it is voluntary and you have the option to opt out and accept the risk.

With a call to CS you can also get the Personal Limits activated/deactivated.

Did not know you could do that., Its nice because of us we get hit with 2 fees here from the ATM plus the EPass fees so 1 big with drawl is better than 2 or 3

are you familiar with security measures in the Netherlands?

i use the card to withdraw only at few ATM's around my area.

The $300 limit is to low for me.

teg0 04-09-2009 07:55 AM

Not sure if I like this feature yet, we'll see.

You can still use your old limits.
Log in and click Visa Cards -> ATM Protection Program -> Activate Personal Limits and you will have your regular limits for 3 hours

Just another step to prevent fraud, i like it.

For those who dont, they can simply opt out.. Good call ePass!

My withdraw limit has been $520 for the last 4 years... Now after opting out of the protection program it is still at $300 :disgust

My limit went down also from $520 to $300. I opted out of the ATM protection program and still the same. Michael I've sent you an email regarding this. Hope to solve it quick. It'a a pain to withdraw only $300 daily.

Thanks.

ok took me awhile to understand it, yes I am old, blond and dutch, but heh the security is ok, the withdrawls a day change from 620 to 300 but heh no biggie.
I like it.
The protection is worth it, well for me that is.
300 a day protected is still 9K a month.
please correct me Michael if I screwed up with this reasoning.

You can still use your old limit, just log in to your account and click "Visa Card" --> "ATM Protection Program" --> "Activate Personal Limits"
Then you can use you old limit ($620 in your case) for 3 hours before it resets back to the $300 limit

Would be great if you could activate the personal limits via mobile or sms or something.
I don't often withdraw more than $300 at an ATM. But when I need to it would be great to be able to do it with my phone, instead of getting to a computer with Internet access.
