I hate this woman but I actually like Jon and Kate + 8. They didn't intend to have that many kids and found a way to help support their family without having to scrounge from the tax payer. The episodes I have seen they appear to be good people that live what is an interesting life for most of us. The one episode that I saw where Kate showed how they mange to pay for groceries was inspiring.

Having been through fertility treatment myself, you are always told about the possibility of multiples but that doesn't mean it will happen. Hell, I didn't even get pregnant with one.

Also..don't we work from home? So what if they do. I am hardly an expert on the show but from what I have seen she was a nurse and with that many kids she decided to stay at home. If she didn't then just as many people would slam her for not spending the right amount of time with their kids.

Again..I haven't seen a ton of the show but what I have seen I haven't had a problem with at all.

*shurg* don't really care enough...I am a pretty cynical person but don't really care if they get free diapers. They don't live too far from my grand parents and they have been seen around but more than that I won't even pretend to know too much about them beyond what I see. Plus, I live over here so I only see them when I happen by it on a channel. They just don't bother me nearly as much as this other woman.

I do believe that no matter how many free diapers you get having 8 kids around you isn't easy.

ppl love fantasy and the show may deliver, but that doesnt take away the product placements and clear indication that this family has moved from welfarish sitatuion to huge house, get year supplies of food, free trips, and much much more.

jon quit his job in 2007, and neither of them have income outside of the show, so i wouldnt argue they have to "manage money" like the rest of the world lol

It is also possible that I saw an early episode when they weren't yet rolling in it. Like I said, I have caught the odd episode on British cable tv. So, it isn't going to be an up to date show. The couple times I have watched I watched just as much to see my home area than them.

As far as your grandmother..she sounds like a strong woman but if all 7 arrived at the same time I bet she would have loved some help.
