The ratios are a red flag. The only time I've seen someone get ratios like that on paysites are when they use it as a way of signing up for their forum/warez site. Sign up for the $1 trial and you can cancel and you'll have access to our forum/warez site.

If you ask me ... that is EXACTLY what was going on .. those ratios sure raise a flag... take that + checking the referrers + the CB ratio and you get urself a pretty good reason for acc termination .. .my suggestion ... "I KNOW what you are doing... and STOP IT! if u wanna earn something in adult some day" .... :winkwink:

Couple words about your traffic will help us to understand this.

I'm amazed by all the "those ratios can't be real" comments

Targetted upsells from members areas does have those ratios unless you're a complete moron

DarkJedi 04-06-2009 05:14 AM

He was probably asking the surfers to join for $1 and then cancel right away - in exchange for some warez.

Lame.

:2 cents:

If they would be REAL (not forced by warez stuff, or frauded), i guess no one would ever show them or comply about beeing banned?

because thats about the only place you would get ratio's like that , and the person would say " i own such and such paysite and those are my upsells , see"

I see webmasters pulling all sorts of tricks to get people to sign up.

Their is one thread on the first page about a company using the "Click here or Sign up here to see pics of my exgf"

That's a really popular one that programs will shit can you for. But since they are lame they have decided to run it themselves.

People saying Ice/Eric should tell the affiliate exactly why he was shit canned..

You can't do that.. You can't tell the scammer how you know he was a scammer, etc. He/she will just learn from it, revise plan and try again.

Well if he was scamming it then he would already know what he did wrong and learn how to change it anyway... All that rule is doing is fucking over the people who truly didn't mean to do anything wrong but somehow did and want to learn how NOT to do it in the future...

_Richard_ 04-06-2009 09:38 AM

those are some incredible stats.. i can't believe all of them ended up cancelling..

Exactly my thoughts, don't think he'd bring it to the boards if he was carding. Most likely incentivized trial joins with the reference of canceling before the trial ends.

When you assume you make an ASS out of U and ME. :)

The guys at RealityCash are not newbs.

If the guys at reality cash with their MANY MANY years of experience felt they can not disclose to the scammer what they know they likely have a very good reason.

You can pretend if you want that the scammer knows exactly how he got caught but you'd just be assuming and setting yourself up for failure.

FYI, The close crop in your avatar is very poorly done.

jmcb420 04-06-2009 10:49 AM

Those are some amazing stats.

If I were the program owner I would look into it too. In the past few years the best I ever had was around 1:36 but those were full memberships, not trials.

I'd bet my bottom dollar this affiliate was up to something and I would shit can him too, no excuse needed. We all know the deal.

mineistaken 04-06-2009 11:47 AM

it does not take too much brain to understand what he was doing here.. :)
its funny how those come on boards whining about being shitcanned

Yeah I'm not defending this guy or anything, just giving another prospective. :thumbsup

FYI, I'm a programmer not a designer.

advokat 04-06-2009 02:29 PM

I was senting traffic straight to JOIN pages, if anynody still wondering

Refferls from bookmark traffic

If that's the case, which I am positive it is I have no sympathy for him.

Also ratios like that are ofcourse possible if you send to the join page, which I do with some sponsors and they don't count the join page hits. Some sponsors I'm 1:10 cause I have some links pointing to the tour but most to the join.

Socks 04-06-2009 03:05 PM

He won't tell us the URL of his landing pages because we'd just fuck up his pristine ratios :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

V_RocKs 04-06-2009 11:43 PM

Most likely...

He had some kind of website that promoted something un-porn related and to get into it you had to buy a membership. On the site he stated something to the effect of:

"Signup and send me your subscription ID number. Then I give you access. You can cancel immediately. Also make sure to uncheck the cross sales..."

iSpyCams 06-17-2009 12:59 PM

Those are pretty typical ratios for chatroom sales. Actually a chatter would consider those ratios to be kind of shitty. But you'd have to be a pretty stupid chatter not to let the people running the affiliate program know you were chatting and make sure they were OK with it. Most are not.

Yngwie 06-17-2009 03:16 PM

I know for a fact that Reality Cash does not terminate accounts for not reason. I've promoted them for like 4 years and never once had a problem. It's very obvious that the account was terminated for good reasons.

brassmonkey 06-17-2009 03:29 PM

old newz

StarkReality 06-17-2009 03:44 PM

I'd bet it's incentived sales in some way, incentived sales always come with a really terrible retention especially if combined with cheap trials, so even if not illegal, most sponsors have that covered in their TOS as a reason for termination.
