And who is this "everyone",

A bunch of morons with no game, you ?

Some moron babbling his mouth in the anonymous world of web 2.0.?

Is it a sin to be actual in business?

Should I rather join the majority here and be a worthless moron like you?

Did you read the web2.0. thread already?

Answer me.

I suppose you didn't, otherwise you wouldn't be here, otherwise you wouldn't be anonymously posting aka Harry Potter on a board, that's practically full of morons and then a few that make fun out of those morons, and then few that read it for the fun.

Good thread, man!

Here's my take:

Strategy #4: Be a tough guy or an asshole.

The problem with this strategy is that it isn't sustainable. You attract more with honey than with vinegar.

That's why I try Strategy #999: Receive by giving. Be helpful. When someone tries to troll you, ignore it.

Just like my hero Gandhi says "BE the change you want to see"

That's correct,

Always here to help, I don't care if you plan to start a pay site and ask about billers / any experience etc. or if you ask about the price of hookers in Prague, all it takes is just to be a little polite, original, witty and not to be another anonymous web2.0. monkey on the edge of virtual meltdown.

When someone tries to pull a high on me, while he is obviously not able to cope with my board persona, then I usually give him a little lecture about his worthless 2.0. existence, and that's also for good of the mankind.

Yep. I am aware of his writings in the Indian newspapers in South Africa. I am not excusing his racist opinions. Racism sucks. The fact that even Gandhi had a negative side does prove that there's no such thing as a perfect hero. I don't like Gandhi because I think he's perfect. He wasn't perfect. I think it's possible to like someone but still reject their negative sides, would you agree?

My favorite strategy is to post in a thread about a complex subject and make a drive by comment that is short and cryptic in order to trick people into thinking you are "in the know" and everyone else is so out of touch you can't even begin to set them straight.

For example, in a thread about SEO you should drop in and post something like "this thread is so clueless it's hilarious" or something similar.

Or in a thread about tubes and profits, post something like "If you knew what the stats really looked like you would freak out".

This works two fold, first it makes you look like you have insider knowledge and second, you can't be proven wrong or outed as a phony because you never really said anything in the first place.

Feel free to use these techniques as needed.

this is so true. This type of posting has been going on since the board was started.

Yes, and strategy #3 which is defined in this thread, was invented and perfected by 12clicks.
