Processors that mail to or sell member email lists?

Cool or not? After all it is there customer too. It's a drag though when they start mailing to them for other people's sites, when you haven't mailed them a thing.

Which processors do it? Some definantly do.

I disagree - it is NOT their customer.

They are providing US a service, which we pay for. If it's their customer, then why are we paying them? And why are they holding back a portion of our funds?

Anyway, not their customer, and mailing to them is DEFINITELY not cool.

Not that I don't think that certain processors crooked little shits of employees don't rip their email databases.

Cheers,
Backov

I nice feature of such lists would be the ability to filter such lists by which sites they joined for maximum spamlitude. (hypothetically speaking of course)

im sure you are just looking to see public opinion, but they all do... those lists are platinum and can yield a company tens of millions of dollars when they sell em, or rent them.....

none of them will admit it though...

one way to test is to seed it with an email address of yours that you never ever use or set a filter to alert you if the seeded address is used.
