just how innocent was America in the 1950's?
this is why i still love the Internet, it's like having the world's greatest library sitting on your desk. all I was doing was looking for a photo of a 1960's style stone wall and I ended up at a very cool site that is all about mid-century design
people always talk about how great the 50's and early 60's were - interesting to see through advertising some foreshadowing of what was to come later on these are real ads, this one's a magazine ad from Parke-Davis a drug company, any wonder that kids started tripping out on acid and other drugs not too many years later?  a little foreshadowing of what was to become cool and popular with teenage girls 50 years into the future  and here's a nice June Cleaver type mom - eyeing some juicy suburban cock just out of view
