Funny thing is that it works the other way around, too. People asking for quotes and designers replying to them and never getting a response :)

I had one guy recently jumping a gun on us on another forum that we didn't reply to his email - sometimes mail gets into spam folder and goes unnoticed, which happened that time although I try to weed out all good correspondence from there, but things happen. Someone suggested him to contacts us by IM, which he than did but didn't get right away reply again since we're in different timezones and for all of this unfortunate miscommunication he had no problem making publicly all kinds of bad rep assumptions about our company, just to find out later we're too expensive for him.
Other times when there's no right away response from us it is that we're occupied actually with current projects - although we try to be very responsive nonetheless.
And yes, as a design firm we're not too happy about when people ask for quotes and then leave without a response either - but we would be ridiculed if we brought that up on boards))) but what can you do? just go on with your business :) |
