just a short exp, the system records name-ip then sorts by order of ip , then picks the 2 above and below, its not gonna be very accurate but hey its better than the other "closest gfy member to you " tool
its kind of hard to extrapolate results from such a small userbase.
like if i had a database of just user-city and found users that matched the same city , for many users there would be no match
to find cities nearest the city your in that also has a gfy user is a bit intense for something to just mess around for no money lol
i could make a simple " other gfy users in your city" version
this is interesting and I'm now intrigued. It can't simply be that you have an IP/username base to go off, or geoip would be the way to find the closest people based on who's closer from a single lat/lon point.
Plus, I changed ISP recently, so whatever data you had has become stale.
This is from the same concept as the last gfy bb sig you did. The point is how has the username been collected.
