As some people know..I have been (very slowly) working on a book about fetishes for a couple years now. In that time, I have interviewed a lot of people that consider themselves to have a fetish. Plus, most of the work that I do on my own in this industry is fetish. So, after a while it takes a lot to make me think something is *really* weird.

Yet, no matter how many times I come across this group of fetishists I just can't not scratch my head.

I am pretty amazed at the things that turn people on. A long time ago there was a program on TV about "turn ons/fantasies" and they had woman saying they would love to get raped. I think that woman that enjoy that fantasy enjoy it because it is played out in a safe atmosphere. I am sure they would react completely different if they were for example attacked in an alley by a stranger.

I actually kind of get that one even though it does nothing for me and I would never participate. I have talked to so many of them that I finally think I get the release of control that many get from it. It is still weird but at least I can get what they might get out of it.
