Help...Please....link redirection needed urgently

Last night, my busiest domain was somehow erased from the registry...it doesn't show up on whois...it's missing from my domain registration company's database..it's gone

My problem is, every single ad I have on every page I have put up for the last 3 years on all of my domains all go to the missing domain first. This way I have been able to control my own pop-ups and easily change advertisers when ever I want.

Is there any type of script I can add to my domains so that if a link on a webpage is clicked for the missing domain, it will instead go to a new, working domain?

i.e. A person clicks on my ad..it is currently linked to www.mydeaddomain.com. Instead of going to the dead domain, I want it to go to www.livedomain.com

Thanks!!!!

Thanks for the insightful answer. Actually 12 of my domains are missing. 4 are mainstream, and ...the other are adult. But there is the one that I am concerned with that has all the links. The rest can wait

Only thing I can think of is to mirror the old domain's contents on another host, switch the DNS over quickly and wait for it to prop down through the net.

You did make a backup recently, right?

Yeah, but why are they missing? Registrars don't just delete domains for no reason. You must have not paid to re-register the domain.

some registrars will remove your domain if they think your information is invalid. that is, if they're told by ANYONE that your information in whois is not valid, they will attempt to verify it (bullshit), lie to you when they say your domain will be OK, and then they will remove it.

then it takes about a week or two to get them to put it back in.

i'm speaking of verisign here, purchaser of the infamous network solutions.

Nope...the mainstream domains are all named after my registered trademarked incorporated names and my whois info is 100% accurate...the adult domains are all obscure names that contaon nothing even similar to registered trademarks...and again whois info is 100% accurate.

Any other link redirection ideas?

I don't see how to redirect an outgoing link without rewriting the link itself to point elsewhere.

So, my take on it would be to rewrite the links with a global search and replace utility, possible using perl. There's a number of programs out there. <A HREF="http://peter.verhas.com/progs/perl/prep/" target="_blank">here's one I've used before</A>.
