    Anyone sign up for free credit report.com?

    I feel stupid for even admitting this but I just realized that I've been paying for an account there. Obviously I want to cancel it. I login and can not find anywhere how to cancel my account. Nowhere. And they say pay sites are bad, heh.

    Has anyone successfully canceled an account there? And what was the process?

      lol i had signed up and successfully canceled, it was a while ago though. I think there was a link in the initial email.

              After clicking around I found a Customer Care link that basically says I need to call Monday to get any kind of support.

                  Was going to say that you will have to call in to cancel and be prepared for something that would make canceling AOL service 5 years ago seem like a peaceful thought.

                                  It's free for like the first 30 days or something, but you should have known to keep your eye on it when you was giving your credit card info for something free. You have to call to cancel, but be prepared to catch them fast talking you into keeping your subscription.

                                                  The FTC is going after them. Affiliates of that site have also been taken down by the FTC (which goes to show you that you need to know exactly what it is you are promoting).

                                                          I signed up a few years ago and got the free credit report and was told I could get a free month of reporting as long as I canceled before the month was up. I canceled within the first couple days, and a month later I got charged. I called them and they said they would take it off and never did. The next month I had a charge for like $149 and I charged both charges back at my bank. Almost exactly a year later I got ANOTHER charge for $149 and charged it back again. They never charged me again after that.
