He has an agenda against Pit Bulls. I feel bad for what happened to his dog, and I have said that to him, but... He enters every Pit Bull thread that I've ever come across and posts his agenda. You can't enter a Pit Bull thread without AaronM being present and garbling like a Jesus freak. It's no different than someone who was attacked by an Asian man, and now forever mistrusts Asian men. AaronM and his dog need some therapy to get over their fears of Pit Bulls.

I've hated pitbulls as long as I can remember. Not feared them, hated them. Big difference. So after my years of hating, 2 of them gave me the personal experience I needed to justify my hatred.

As for my dog and I...Just yesterday we were out for a drive. We stopped at a country store and I opened the back of my Jeep so my dog could get some air and attention. A few minutes later a pit came by. My dog didn't react at all. As the dog got closer I simply shut the door to remove any temptation that may have been there. I didn't move away myself, I simply watched the dog sniff around and pass by. If I were truly afraid of pitbulls then I would have shot the fucking thing on sight.

Aside from having several years shaved off his life and his scars....I'd say he's a happy dog.

I've had this discussion with many people going over many years. There are a variety of dogs that are simply bread to be more aggressive than others. Anybody who argues that fact is a tool.

I'm not a fan of the ankle biters either.

So if you were attacked by something that the Dr. would take years off your life expectancy but you were still alive with scars and such, would you call that a happy ending? Better than instant death I suppose but far from anything I would consider happy.

Also, Pitbulls arent necessarily angry animal/people eaters lol. You must know how to properly handle them. My cat and my dog get along great and even play some together. Also my brother has a pit, my mom has 2, so when we get 4 pitbulls all together the cat can walk down the middle of them with no worries. That is cooler IMO then having them be wanting to kill things to be "hard". Kira does agility classes and everything but boy when its time to guard the house NOBODY is getting in!

You have to understand these dogs. Ive been around them my entire life since I was born actually. They are actually way more sensitive then the average dog. Besides being scary smart.

Anyway, you just have to give them the attention and mainly the EXCERCISE they need. Training them is very easy but you just have to make sure you are really on top of things 24/7. You cant let them have their way or get away with things. Anyway, Pitbulls are very very good family pets for ther "right" family or persons. I actually see/hear about way more other breeds attacking people/animals then pitbulls. Its just the pitbulls are the only ones that make the news.

Some sweet pics. I think a lot of dog problems in general would be nearly eradicated if dog licenses were for owners and not just a cash grab for municipalities. Some people should not own dogs, and there should be a better way to weed out the idiots. I love Pits but they are a handful. Sounds to me like the owners of the dogs who attacked AaronM's pooch are the one who should be euthanized. :2 cents:

Some real cute dogs in this thread. The pictures of the injured lab are really hard to see. It looks just like my parents dog. A real shame. It is not really fair to blame pit bulls for that however. It is usually a dog's owner that determines the way it acts.

Some beautiful dogs in this thread. Dogs of any breed can be raised improperly and turn out vicious, but dogs with potential to do real damage should have only experienced owners with properly fenced yards, etc. To own a pitty or a few other "dangerous breeds" in my town, you have to have a six walled enclosure, always walk it with a full muzzle, never let it off leash, and pay $600 a year for your dog license. That deters at least some yahoos from getting them because they look cool.

My opinion is that you should have drivers license to get a pitbull. When a pitbull sniff you up and attack, it's not like when a tinier breed dog attacks.

You cant just kick them off with your legs.

It seems funny to me that even smart owners of pitbulls don't want to admit it's a dangerous breed with the Wrong owner.

the human-aggressive pit bull is not typical. these dogs are sweet hearts and want nothing more than to lick your face, follow you everywhere you go, and sleep in your lap.

give these dogs a chance and they will steal your heart.

With the wrong owners they can be very dangerous. As can any dog of course but pitbulls are very very strong so makes them higher risk id say.

wow man had not seen your pics previously, that is a tremendously hard thing to go through, and anyone in your position could justify those feelings.

i only have small dogs (two mini pinschers) and doubt theyd live through pit attack, and cant imagine going through that.
