    anyone here know anything about running flea markets?

    i have access to 100,000 sq feet of warehouse space in a good location and i was thinking about a flea market.

    they don't like being called flea markets anymore, they prefer swap meets

            They tend to do very well in this type of economy. Hard goods will be the determining factor for bringing in traffic.

                  what is the typical fee for a 10 x 10 space and is that per day or for sat & sun.

                  what is the daily charge for food vendors.

                  anything else that you can think of that would be useful.

                    i used to have booth space in a couple flea markets
                    i always wanted to open one myself as well

                      Hard goods like consumer electronics, car audio, jewelery, furniture, etc will bring in the foot traffic needed to support the soft goods sellers.

                      The larger, big ticket items may not sell much but they will bring in people to look. Soft goods may sell more but hard goods will draw the traffic.
