Depends on how old you are and what you like. Do you like food ? London has the best curry in the world. Do you want nightlife then its London again. Like Architecture then visit Oxford or Cambridge they also have some amazing restaurants.
You can do a night time boat trip on the River Thames last 2 hours and you get a great dinner on most of the boats. Shopping in Oxford Street or Bond Street is an experience if you have large amounts of cash to spend. Or visit Carnaby Street, changed a lot from the 60's but still an interesting place.
Like watching people, then Piccadilly Circus is a good night time hangout. Used to be some great clubs nearby but that was 15 years ago before I left for San Diego.

Depends what you are into. You should go to Glasgows West End for some nice bars and food. City centre has lots of clubs, bars and restaraunts as well. There's lots of shopping as well if you're into that.
Edinburgh is really good for tourists. Plenty to do. Edinburgh Castle, The Edinburgh Dungeons are really good too. If you go to Glasgows West End, try a little restaraunt called Mimmos. Its very small inside but the Filet Steak is amazing. Its in Ashton Lane, pretty popular place so its not hard to get in a cab and go there. there's some really nice bars there too. Check out The Loft.
Have a great time. Hope the weather is nice for you. I miss Scotland actually now that I think of it. I'm living in Toronto right now for the past 6 months.
