    Transparent PNG question

If I have a graphic with a 50% black drop shadow and save it as a transparent PNG will i be able to see the background pattern of the webpage through the 50% drop shadow?
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

Be sure to add some sort of png transparency fix if you're going to use them on a site where you'll have IE6 users. This is the best I've found so far: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/
