The more I think about it, it was a pretty big fuck up.

Whether or not you agree with all the PC stuff, the President is held up to higher standard. This was more than just mangling a word or sounding stupid, it was making light of a whole class of people.

The Republicans will have fun with this for a few days I suppose.

alas, it was a great interview. But I too did catch the Special Olympics comment, and it didn't breeze by me. I don't look for slip ups - but if it presents itself, well then, it's a slip up and I am sure the Olympic committee may ask for an apology.

the comment about if you want a friend in Washington get a dog... true true, not sure how I felt about that one and if his 'pals' in Washington got insulted, I mean...are they dogs and don't you need 'friends' in Washington to a degree?

Overall, I won't pick on these things...I thought he was excellent, communicative, charming, funny, real and it was refereshing to see a President be real.
