Censorship sucks. This is fucking terrible.
Does this mean our Aussie friends are gone? GFY fits those standards (in red).
I'm funner than AIDS, and easier to explain to your parents.
No it's for ALL Aussie isp's, Some aussie isp's are doing tests at the moment for the government, Mine must be one of them , because there are sites I can't access anymore, and once the tests are finished, it is spose to be mandatory for all isp's to install the filters
It's only running on a small handfull of isp's with 5000 clients atm. But once testing is completed and all is a go, every ISP will have to switch. It was only some adult sites might be filtered. But im sure the guy that thought this up is going to filter every fucken adult site on the next, softcore or hardcore. Might even filter youtube etc as there is quite a bit of "lingerie and sexy" videos there. Mean while those of us that work in the industry get filtered we're not goign to be working after that.
Time to move to America. If I can't do my job here, I have to go to a country where I can.

Actually you should stay put, remember when the mobsters made shitload of cash? During the prohibition! Open a few illegal wank-shops aka Porn Internet Cafe's - offer free almond oil and fresh towels, and you'll be rolling in cash in no time.
The fuckwits in charge of this country are a fucking embarrassment. Seriously.
Anyone got that list they can paste in this thread? I've tried that site all day with no luck.
I've been looking for the list all night with no luck. Aside from the info I posted earlier, All I know is alot of gambling sites and adult sites are going bye-bye.
To be honest I'm quite surprised more GFYers haven't dropped into this thread to at least say what the fuck........ Lets face it, this is some serious shit. Censorship is always a very serious issue. I hope the list surfaces. If I find it, i'll post it here or on my server and just link to it.

You'd think, after the criticisms that this project has been encountering, they'd actually use due diligence to make sure they DIDN'T fuck it up.
Apparently not.
Some australian guy today managed to get one of australia's largest forum sites [ very, very SFW, clean site ] put on the list - they mustn't check this shit at all.
There's a huge Australian broadbang forum called Whirlpool. A user posted a link to a site that was on the list (an anti-abortion website with graphic pictures). The AMCA went to Whirlpool's host (Bulletproof.net.au) and threatened them with an $11,000/day fine until the link was removed. They gave them a day to remove the link. Whirlpool complied.
Guys in australia - if you rely on adult net for your income, you need to do something. I wrote a letter to my local member 2 months back. You need to do this now: a hand written letter telling your nearest ALP member that this is going to cost them the next election. Don't even bother to point out how useless this is- they know that but are doing this because the think it will satisfy the permanently outraged Christian right. The ONLY message they understand is that this is going to be an election issue and they will lose in 2010.
Just because you arent on the list now, doesnt mean you wont be in 12 months. Imagine having to use a VPN to access your own (perfectly legal) website... and if you make the list, you will have 20 million less potential customers.
Any Australian surfers out there will be please to know that Twistys.com is not on the list.
Surfs up mate
I didn't see twistys on there either. I saw a few YouTube urls though, whatever thats about is beyond me. I didn't see any of my sites either, but my guess is that this list is just a start. Eventualy we will all be on it.
Alot of the site names on there are just wrong. I wouldn't admit to owning 90% of whats on that list. That will make it easy for them to do this. Once they take away the first thing, it just gets easier to take more away.
Twistys might not be there now, my sites might not either, but they all will be. Soon.
