    CaveCreek Reputation Check

    Hey... Are there any patterns of problems with CaveCreek? I've got a dedicated box and am watching my monthly cost spiral up. In particular, have gotten dinged for support costs that I wasn't aware were coming. I'm pretty irked at the moment but thought I should check here before deciding they are sneaky opportunists that I have to plan on keeping an eye on. It might be that they are great and my expectations are out of line. So, let me know. If they are solid than I just need to work on my understanding of their process and how to know what is billable support and what is normal.

    Appreciate any feedback...

        Have a Dedicated Hosting Plan

        I guess I don't have a managed plan with a built-in number of hours of support time. They didn't even warn me about the charges at the time. Just showed up on the invoice!

        I got a pretty strong quote from TechieMedia that claims they don't charge separately for support at all. It looks like Techie has a good reputation here on the boards but it is hard to tell who is a company shill and who is a legit poster sometimes.

          im pretty sure it is ccbill....so i wouldnt worry about their reputation

          just pick someone who can help you..and work with them

            FYI Techiemedia is by far one of the best in the biz and their support is by far the very best. I have been with them for several years and they don't play any tricks, your package deal is it, no other hiden charges ever. Talk to jim he is the man and his word is as good as gold.

              Well here is another vote for the Awesome Team at www.techiemedia.com No tricks, no bull shit, no games, nothing but damm fine Superior Quality hosting at great prices, untouchable support. If you are serious about your business then definitely talk to Jim or Wayne over there it could possibally be the best biz move you will ever make.

                Sounds like you asked for some support and got it, but the support you asked for
                was something you really needed to do on your own.

                      Cave Creek is owned by CCBill. So they are solid.
                      You received the support you asked for, just at increased cost you were unaware of.
                      I would shop around if I were you for other hosting.

                      PHAT, MOJO, Techie, etc..

                        If your server is unmanaged you have to pay extra for the support. It's not their fault.
