      you can throw a backorder on it. but if it hasn't expired yet they still have a chance to renew, then they still have thegrace period, and yadda yadda. you can try iring them an offer, but then they might renew based on your implied interest whereas they may have let it drop.

      personally i'd just sit tight and put a backorder on it, they run $20 or so.
